A Renaissance
In 2003 the Ann Arbor Women's City Club (as it was known then) hired a facilitating programmer from Zingerman's to engage members in developing a long-range plan for the Club. Mission and vision statements were created and long-term goals were identified. A list of desired changes was created that would enable the club to:
- preserve its historical foundation, and
- provide additional services to a wider community.
The list of changes was prioritized, a capital campaign was initiated, and an architectural firm was hired. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in January 2008, shortly after the membership voted to change our name to Ann Arbor City Club. Phase I of the renovation was completed in late summer 2008.
